Progressive Electronic Keyboard Method for Young Beginners Books 1, 2 & 3 have been designed to introduce the younger student to the basics of electronic keyboard playing and reading music. The books provide the student with an extensive repertoire of well-known children’s songs. All the songs have been carefully graded into an easy-to-follow, leasson-by-lesson format, which assumes no prior knowledge of music or electronic keyboard by the student.
Progressive Electronic Keyboard Method for Young Beginners Book 2 incorporates very easy arrangements of well-known children’s songs, covering nine notes on the treble staff, (played with the right hand), and three chords (C, F, G) played with the left hand. It introduces the tie, the eighth note, legato, the dotted quarter note, the C major scale and C and F positions for the right hand.
A suggestion for a voice and rhythm selection is given with each song as a guide to help the student get the best possible sound out of the keyboard. The suggested voices and rhythms are used on the recording.
Supplementary Songbook A has been designed to be used in conjunction with Method Book 2. It contains more than 30 additional songs, which are cross referenced to the lessons in Method Book 2.
