Now try using sixteenth notes with power chords. Notice the accents on each beat of the bar. Practice each pattern until you can play it easily at a slow tempo, and then try increasing the setting on your metronome two points at a time until you can play them along with the CD.
In order to produce a heavier more aggressive sound, try using downstrokes on every strum of a sixteenth note rhythm as shown in the this example.
