This lesson contains several Ragtime fingerpicking solos that make use of many techniques that have featured throughout the book so far. The first rag is a relatively simple solo that uses basic chords, simple fingerpicking patterns and bass runs.
Revision Rag incorporates many of the techniques introduced last lesson, such as syncopation, lead-in bass notes and the swing rhythm.
Determination Rag is a piece that contains many of the chords and techniques studied throughout the book so far. At the end of section three, the instruction D.C. al Coda is written. This means that you play the song again from the beginning until you reach the coda sign (v) and then jump to the second coda sign at the end of the piece.
Radiation Rag is another piece containing many chords and techniques studied earlier in the book. Root five and root six bar chords are used throughout as well as hammer-ons, slides and bass runs.
