The Harmonic Minor Scale
Another type of minor scale is called the harmonic minor scale. This scale is the same as the natural minor scale except that the seventh note is raised by one semitone (sharpened).
E.g., in the A harmonic minor scale the seventh note is G#, which is the seventh note of the A natural minor scale raised one semitone. This raised seventh note is called the leading note.
