The F note is written in the first space of the staff.
When playing the note F, notice that your third and fourth fingers on the right hand are covering double holes. It is important to cover both holes with each finger in order to get the correct sound.
Learn this song from memory and then play it with your eyes closed. Visualize the fingerings for the notes as you play them.
Here is another song using the note F. Play it slowly at first until you are confident with the fingering. Since most sheet music you buy doesn’t contain breath marks (;), they have been excluded from many of the exercises in this book to help you learn the best places to breathe. Look at where we have written breath marks and you will notice that all breaths are taken either at the end of a bar, or where a rest occurs. If you are unsure where to breathe ask your teacher to help you find the correct breathing places.
