If you have a Yamaha keyboard, find the auto bass chord section and select the fingered position.
On a Casio keyboard, find the Casio-chord section and select the fingered position.
If you have another type of keyboard, look in your owner’s manual to see how to play fingered chords.
The C chord contains three notes. To play the C chord, use the first, second and fifth fingers of your left hand, as shown on the C chord diagram here.
When you play fingered chords, you must press all three keys down together, or the chord will not sound. Play the C fingered chord, and hear how it sounds the same as the one finger C chord.
You can use the rhythm section when you play fingered chords in exactly the same way as when you play one-finger chords. Now go back to Lesson 5 and play the song Easy to C, using the fingered chord method. It should sound exactly the same.
The G chord also contains three notes. To play the G chord, use the first, third and fifth fingers of your left hand, as shown on the G chord diagram here. Press down all three keys, and hear how it sounds the same as the one-finger G chord.
The next song, G Wiz, contains four bars of the G chord. Play it first using the fingered G chord, then play it again using the one-finger G chord.
