Triplets

Triplets

A triplet is a group of 3 notes played in the same space of time as a group of 2 notes of the same note type.

Eighth Note Triplets

If we follow the previous rule, it can be seen that there are twelve eighth note triplets in one bar of * time.

E.g., if 6 = 8 then one bar of eighth note triplets will appear as shown.
