The remaining Funk Grooves combine all the different techniques of Section Four and utilize all the rhythmical concepts covered in Section Three. Some of the licks might be technical and/or rhythmical and a bit more challenging, therefore require more diligence and time. To work with the recording, a drum machine will be essential.
This example introduces double stop or double note playing and sliding. Double stops are played by striking two notes simultaneously (use index and middle fingers to pop the double stops). In the second bar slide the sounding notes up one fret to the next notes without releasing the pressure on the strings or popping them again. There should be a continuous sound produced throughout the whole action. Listen to the recording to help get the right sound and feel.
