Music is written on a staff, which consists of 5 parallel lines and 4 spaces. Bar lines are drawn across the staff, which divide the music into different sections called bars or measures. The end of the music is indicated by a final bar line, while two dots placed before a double bar line indicate a repeat sign. A bass clef is placed at the beginning of the staff.
This clef indicates the position of the note F which is on the line in between the two dots.
