Combining a Melody and Bass Line

A fingerpicking arrangement to Hello My Baby can now be played by combining the melody and bass line. The following arrangement contains pinching of bass and melody notes on some beats, as well as the individual picking of notes on other beats. Study the notes in the following arrangement, comparing them to the melody and chords in the last example. Special attention should be given to the suggested left hand fingering.

Note: Music readers will notice that the following music notation is written in two separate parts or voices. Guitar music is correctly notated in this form. The bass notes, or notes played with the thumb have their stems down. Treble or melody notes, played with the fingers have their stems up.
