An ascending slide is indicated by a straight line on the bottom left side of the note or number. The number in brackets is the suggested fret to slide from. The first note has no time value.
The descending slide is represented by a straight line on the top left side of the note or number. This time you play the higher pitched note in the brackets and slide back to the desired note. Once again the first note has no time value.
A curved line and the letter "s" between two notes shows a slide with value to both notes. The first note played is sustained for its correct value before sliding to the second note.
A curved line and the letter "P" indicates a pull-off. The first note is played but the second note is produced by lifting the slide off the string.
A curved line and the letter "H" indicates a hammer. The open string is played but the second note is produced by hammering the slide onto the desired fret.
A wavy line above a note indicates vibrato. The slide is moved very quickly back and forwards, slightly up and down the fretboard.
