Quarter Note Triplet

There are six quarter note triplets in one bar of * time. Three quarter note triplets are played in the same time as two quarter notes.

A quarter note triplet rhythm is played on bass drum in this example.

This example features quarter note triplets on hi-hat.

The following four patterns in time feature + sixteenth notes.
