Like drum music, notes written for other instruments are also written on the staff. The basic difference is that these notes have a specific pitch when written for most instruments. There are two basic clefs used for writing music – the treble clef and the bass clef. These are written here.
A staff with a treble clef written on it is called a treble staff.
A staff with a bass clef written on it is called a bass staff.
High notes are written on the treble staff and low notes are written on the bass staff.
