Turnaround Progressions
In Lesson 5, you were introduced to the 12 Bar Blues chord progression. Another very important chord progression to learn is called the turnaround. Like 12 Bar Blues, it is the basis of many songs, and it will probably sound familiar to you also.
In the two turnarounds above, there is a chord change every bar. In some turnarounds, there are two chords per bar, as in Exercise 68, while in other turnarounds there may be one chord every two bars. The overall sound of the pattern, however, does not change.
