The Natural Minor and Harmonic Minor scales can also be played in different positions on the fretboard. The other common position for these two scales is based upon the key note being played on the fifth, third and first strings. This position is similar to pattern 4 of the Minor Pentatonic scale, as illustrated in Lesson 2.
