Here is the D minor Pentatonic scale played over two octaves, first in open position (bars 1 to 4), and then in 2nd position (bars 5 to 8). Notice that the detuned 6th string forces a change of hand position when moving from one octave of the scale to the next (in open position).
Learn the fingering until you can easily play it from memory and then experiment with it to create your own riffs and melodies from it. Try getting some minor pentatonic ideas that you know in standard tuning and playing them in dropped D tuning. This is a great way to become more familiar with any altered tuning.
