In order to play the riffs. licks and solos throughout this book a basic knowledge of notation is needed. This book uses standard music notation and tablature notation. If you cannot read music notes use the tab written below the music. Music readers will need to look at the tab to see what technique is being used to play certain notes (e.g. hammer. slide etc) and also which position on the fretboard the notes have to be played.
