Another important rhythm is the 16th note triplet. These are usually fairly quick, being three 16th notes played in the time of two. Here they are applied to the pentatonic scale.
The following solo contains a variety of 16th note rhythms and also features staccato notes. It also makes use of all the techniques you have learnt so far, and features a sixteenth note triplet in bar 6. If you have trouble with the rhythm in this bar, practice it slowly on one note and tap your foot on each beat. Then try it with all the notes. Practice the whole solo slowly with a metronome until you can play it perfectly, then gradually increase the tempo until you can play it along with the CD.
