The chords outlined here using all four strings and combining harmonics with fretted notes. All root notes are played as fretted notes and all other chord notes are harmonics. When playing a chord with harmonics make sure that all notes are ringing. Harmonic chords should be used very sparse, e.g., at the end of a section or tune. Some keys have more choices for harmonic chords than others, however when playing a chord it is not always necessary to use four notes. Often it is enough to imply a chord with less notes. Try experimenting with the harmonic fretboard diagram just shown to create your own chords.
In example 339 and 340 only harmonics are used on the 3rd, 4th and 5th fret to create bass runs.
Example 341 and 342 are bass grooves utilising harmonics and fretted notes.
The harmonic double stops in example 343 create a contrasting chordal sound to the fretted bass line.
Example 344 uses harmonics in arpeggio style to create the chords indicated above the staves.
