Playing With Pick and Fingers

To finish things off, here is a slow Blues solo in + time which makes use of almost all of the sounds and techniques covered in the book. Take your time with it, and learn it one phrase at a time if necessary. There is one more new technique in measures 5 and 6 of this solo - the use of the pick and right-hand middle finger (m) to pick two notes simultaneously. Practice this technique on open strings at first if necessary and then apply it to the licks.
