Sixteenth Notes

Sixteenth notes are also used in most Metal guitar licks and solos. Sixteenth notes will require a great deal more practice to execute cleanly and smoothly. Example 68 is an example of a sixteenth note lick played in the key of Bb.

The following lick is played in the key of Bb. and features sixteenth notes.

Quarter note triplets can also be applied to a Metal lead guitar lick or solo.
