Another type of artificial harmonic that can be used is a touch harmonic. This harmonic is produced by touching the string with a right hand finger above a certain fretwire. In the following example the note A on the 3rd string, 2nd fret is played. As the string is sounding, the middle finger of the right hand reaches across and lightly touches the 3rd string above the 7th fretwire.
