Natural Minor Scale

One of the most common scales used in Metal guitar is the natural minor scale. This scale has a distinctive classical and sometimes haunting sound to it.

This diagram illustrates the most commonly used pattern for the natural minor scale in the key of A. Try the following example which ascends and descends using this pattern.
