If we follow the previous rule, it can be seen that there are twelve eighth notes in one bar of * time.
E.g., if 6=8 then one bar of eighth note triplets is as follows:
The following pattern uses eighth note triplets on the hi-hat and is commonly played in slow blues tunes. This hi-hat pattern is often referred to as + time, (see Section Three - The Twelve Eight Feel).
This is an eight note triplet rest and indicates silence for the count of one eighth note triplet.
