The F Major licks are based upon the Root Six bar chord. These licks are movable, i.e., they can be played in any position on the fretboard. The standard bass line alternates between the octave notes of the sixth and fourth strings. A complete discussion of bar chords can be found in Progressive Rhythm Guitar.
The melody notes are taken from the F Major scale and the F Blues scale.
Example Twenty One uses two notes from the F Major Sixth and the F Seventh chords.
Example Twenty Two is similar to example Twenty One but uses extra notes on the first string as well as a harmony between both strings.
