Supplement 2 The Old Man
Supplement Number Two is a twelve bar blues progression in the key of G Major.
The Old Man – Analysis
- Bars one to four use some of the G chord licks played in Lesson Three.
- Bars five and six are variations on the examples we found in Lesson Four, C Chord Licks.
- Bars seven and eight are the same as bar three and four. Refer to Lesson Three, G Chord Licks for the very same lick.
- In Lesson Five, D Chord Licks, Example Nineteen you will find a similar lick to bars nine and ten.
- The final two bars introduce your first turnaround in the key of G. A turnaround is a common lick found at the end of a blues progression.
