12 Bar Blues Riff Number 4

The following one bar riff uses alternate picking. In this example downstrokes occur "on" the beat and upstrokes occur "off" the beat.

Repeat this riff shape throughout the 12 Bar Blues progression, as outlined in earlier lessons.

Here are two more riffs using alternate picking. Once again, apply these riffs to the whole 12 bar progression.

You should now practice the riffs given in earlier lessons using this alternate picking technique. All future lessons will involve alternate picking.
