Tuning By Harmonics

Harmonics are commonly used as a method to tune the guitar. By locating harmonics of the same pitch on different strings, you can tune the guitar as such:

Tune the harmonic on the 7th fret of the fifth string to the harmonic on the 5th fret of the sixth string (arrow 1).
Tune the harmonic on the 7th fret of the fourth string to the harmonic on the 5th fret of the fifth string (arrow 2).
Tune the harmonic on the 7th fret of the third string to the harmonic on the 5th fret of the fourth string (arrow 3).
Tune the open second string to the harmonic on the 7th fret of the sixth string.
Tune the open first string to the harmonic on the 7th fret of the fifth string.
