The first slide scale in this tuning is found mainly on the tenth and twelfth frets. The scale consists of the same notes as the standard tuning scale learned earlier, but can be played more conveniently in this tuning. Remember, the pattern and position on the fretboard is the same for both open E tuning and open D tuning.
The scale can be broken down into two octaves. Practice both octaves with the slides indicated and pay careful attention to the suggested frets from which to slide.
