The chord progression used in turnaround two is very similar to that of turnaround one, except for the second chord (E minor in place of A minor). See Appendix Three for examples of songs using this turnaround.
The 4th bar of this example (G-F-E-D) features a bass note run. A bass note run is a group of notes which are used to connect chords together. Another example of a bass note run is in the last bar of example 5 ( Lesson 3 ).
The following turnaround progression uses first and second endings. The first time you play through the song, play the first ending, (Z), then go back to the beginning. The second time you play through the song, play the second ending (X) instead of the first. Be careful not to play both endings together.
The second ending (G-F-E-D) features a bass note run leading back to the C note.
