The next set of licks will be based upon the Minor Pentatonic scale within pattern two. This pattern may also be moved up or down the fretboard depending on which key is being used. As shown in the following diagram, the key notes are found on the second and fourth strings. Notice the location of pattern two in relation to pattern one. The key of G has been illustrated.
The first example in this section ascends pattern two from the lowest note to the highest note. The example is played in the key of G, therefore corresponding with the previous diagram.
The next example descends pattern two from the highest note to the lowest note.
