The fourth solo is in the key of C and uses all three patterns discussed so far. All the techniques used in recent lessons will also appear in this solo.
The solo is played over a jazz-blues progression in the key of C. The chord sequence is basically a 12 Bar Blues progression, but a "jazz" sound is created by the use of a "swing" rhythm. The swing rhythm is achieved by strumming a triplet rhythm (three strums to a beat), but only strumming the first and third part of the triplet. The rhythm is counted 1 ah 2 ah 3 ah 4 ah etc, as shown in the following chord chart.
